OAK RIDGE NORTH, TX -- The City of Oak Ridge North and its Police Department announce the immediate termination of Patrick Hosford, effective January 8, 2025, following his arrest as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation. Evidence revealed his involvement in the possession of child pornography, a crime that is both abhorrent and an affront to the values of this department and the community we serve. This crime is classified as a first-degree felony and, if convicted, may carry a potential sentence of up to life imprisonment.

Mr. Hosford was employed with the Oak Ridge North Police Department for only a short time, having joined on October 30, 2024. This betrayal of trust is deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable. We are fully cooperating with all investigating agencies to ensure this individual is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

The Oak Ridge North Police Department maintains its unwavering commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of our community, especially its most vulnerable members. This incident is not representative of the dedication and integrity exhibited daily by the men and women of this department.

We are reviewing internal processes and will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to strengthen safeguards against such heinous behavior. Additionally, the Oak Ridge North Police Department is conducting a thorough internal review of city computer systems to ensure that no inappropriate or unlawful material was transmitted or received using city equipment. We assure our residents that we are taking every possible step to prevent such incidents in the future.

Any additional information regarding this investigation should be directed to Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office or Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
