Suspect in Aggravated Robbery Case Apprehended After High-Speed Chase and Shootout in Tomball

TOMBALL, TX -- Last night, Thursday, January 30, at approximately 11:30 at night, Tomball (TPD) police officers went in vehicle pursuit of a potential aggravated robbery suspect. The pursuit started near 915 Baker Drive and terminated in the employee parking garage of HCA Tomball located at 605 Holdereith Road. Once inside the garage, the suspect fired multiple rounds at responding officers. Several officer returned fire. The suspect fled on foot up the parking ramp and eventually leapt from one of the upper stories onto the ground below. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. No officers were struck by gunfire, nor was the suspect struck by gunfire. The suspect, a 26-year old male Hispanic, had significant internal injuries related to falling from a great height. The TPD is working with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office as it conducts the continuing investigation.

We are grateful for the professional and immediate support of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office officers, K-9 and Air Support, and for the support of Precinct 4 deputies. The HCA Tomball Emergency Room was on lockdown for approximately an hour until the area was rendered safe by officers. We are thankful for the continued support and professionalism of the women and men at HCA Tomball.
