WILLIS, TX -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is aware of recent social media threats referencing Willis ISD schools. Our investigators have thoroughly reviewed these reports, and at this time, no credible threats have been identified. The circulating threat appears to be from 2021 and is being reshared online. There is no known danger to students, staff, or school facilities. Our patrol deputies, Willis ISD School Resource Unit, Homeland Security Division, and Real-Time Crime Center are actively monitoring the situation and working diligently to ensure the safety of our schools. While we take every report seriously, we want to reassure parents and the community that there is no immediate cause for concern. We encourage students, parents, and residents to remain calm and report any concerns directly to law enforcement rather than resharing unverified information online. Spreading outdated or unconfirmed reports can create unnecessary fear and confusion. If you receive a message regarding a potential threat, please contact law enforcement or school officials so it can be properly investigated. The safety and well-being of Montgomery County’s students and residents remain our highest priority. For any concerns or to report information, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800.
