Montgomery County Deputies Arrest Suspect in Aggravated Robbery on Era Lane

NEW CANEY, TX -- On March 25, 2025, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office East Patrol Division were dispatched to the 22300 block of Era Lane, New Caney, Texas for a reported Aggravated Robbery in Progress. Upon arrival, the deputies quickly apprehended the suspect, who was still in the act of committing the crime.

Lynail Sawyer, 24-years-old, was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, with a bond set at $150,000.

This swift response by the deputies sends a strong message to those who think they can commit violent crimes in Montgomery County—such behavior will not be tolerated. Criminals will be arrested, prosecuted, and held accountable for their actions.
