SUNA Coming to Grogan's Mill Village Center

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Opening later this summer, an innovative, workout fitness center, SUNA Studio is coming to Grogan’s Mill Village Center in The Woodlands. SUNA will offer Lagree Microformer-based strength training, energizing barre classes, and sculpt sessions – all enhanced with infrared heating for greater health benefits.

The concept originated with founder/owner, Lorenza Gonzalez. The Woodlands resident enjoys many different types of workouts such as sculpting, barre, strength, Pilates and Lagree, even using exercise as a way to calm her mind. “From living in The Woodlands and my upbringing, exercise has become part of me,” shared Lorenza Gonzalez. Rather than continuing to go to different places to seek out what she desired, Lorenza Gonzalez decided to put it all under one roof. “The Woodlands is a very fitness-oriented place to live, and I want SUNA Studio to offer a way for people to slow down and connect with their body and soul while working out.”

With the revitalization of Grogan’s Mill Village Center underway, the new community center and library will be the centerpiece. Feeling that the center still maintains the primary essence of what it was like 50 years ago, Lorenza Gonzalez wanted her studio to be part of the renovation. “Grogan’s Mill remains a calming place for me; it has so much potential to bring people together and I want SUNA Studio to be part of that.”

SUNA Studio will offer a luxury environment, where members can connect with like-minded residents of the community. Curated classes and a variety of workout options throughout the day will help to motivate and revive, so members can achieve their physical goals and a better state of mind. Utilizing infrared heating – designed to heat the body from within and not the air – it offers numerous health benefits including: increased flexibility, detoxification, improved cardiovascular health, and enhanced immune function.

Turkish in origin, the term SUNA is used as a complimentary way of saying ‘strong and beautiful woman’. Finding the meaning behind the term uplifting, it’s the reason Lorenza Gonzalez chose it for the name of her studio.

SUNA Studio will join other retailers at Grogan’s Mill Village Center including Brother's Pizza, Ome Calli Café, Safeway Driving, The UPS Store, Woodforest National Bank, Brite Touch Cleaners (The Woodlands Cleaners), 4H Tailor, Half Baked Goodness and The Woodlands Farmer’s Market, which is held every Saturday morning. SUNA is anticipated to open in August 2025.
