MCTXSheriff Concludes Lengthy Standoff with Suspect in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, TX -- On February 25, 2025 at about 11:40am MCTXSheriff Deputies Responded to a Family Violence Call in the 800 block of Lake View Drive in Montgomery, Texas. Deputies discovered a 34-year-old male at the home who barricaded himself inside with weapons. All family members were able to be safely extracted from the home. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District 5 deputies, Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery ISD police, Precinct 1 Constable’s Office and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene.

After an approximate 8 hour standoff, Jesus Fabian Cintron Rios, ultimately surrendered due to the patience and persistence from the negotiators and mental health units on scene.

Once the suspect was taken into custody he was medically evaluated and cleared of any injuries and transported to Montgomery County jail, where he is charged with Felon in Possession of Firearm.
