THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Sterling Ridge Village Association invites people to join them for the 10th annual Fishing Festival for kids, taking place on Saturday, April 5, 9:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m. at Pepperdale Park, 17 North Pentenwell Circle.

Whether they are experienced or novices, all children are welcome to come and try their luck. There will be awards for biggest fish and most fish caught in three kids’ age groups, drinks and snacks, plus some great prizes. The Woodlands High School Bass Fishing Team will also be on hand to help out and show the young anglers how to land the biggest they can.

The Fishing Festival is a remarkable event for kids. It was started as a small fishing tournament for residents and has grown every year. The motto at this event is, Leave the park in better condition than we found it. Beyond the chance to have fun and catch a lot of fish, they also take the opportunity to clean up the park and pond. Registration is at https://www.sterling-ridge.org/events/srva-fishing-festival-7z9sf-zgdnc-hc54t-e8e9m-ycmhd.

The next big – and biggest – event will be the SRVA Cultural Celebration & Kid's Festival, taking place Saturday, May 3 at Cranebrook Park. They will be featuring food tastes and some performances from multiple cultures that are represented in our area. There will also be hot dogs, games for kids, bounce-houses, cotton candy, fire department and sheriff’s office meet-and-greets, and more.
