THE WOODLANDS, TX – With luck, you’re one of the people who don’t have to work on Good Friday. Contrary to popular belief, the Friday before Easter isn’t one of the eleven annual federal holidays; however, it IS a state holiday in Texas, along with eleven other states. While federal offices and the post office are open, schools are closed, along with countless offices.

Whether or not you celebrate the Easter season, there's fun to be had!

So, if you find yourself with a day away from work – or are a parent with kids in tow on this school-less day – you might find yourself scrambling for family-friendly things to do. Here are five ideas we’ve snagged from our events calendar. Check out the full calendar for a complete slate of fun events for the day!
