Man Arrested for Trafficking After Being Found with 14-Year-Old Runaway in Montgomery County

SPRING, TX -- On March 24, 2025, around 11:15 PM, Constable Ryan Gable's patrol unit was actively monitoring the Imperial Oaks Subdivision when they spotted a vehicle parked in the area. A patrol sergeant approached the vehicle and found it occupied by a 14-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man named Curtis Turner Chlebus from Spring, TX. Further investigation revealed that the girl was a runaway from Freeport, TX. The Pct. 3 Human Trafficking Unit was called to the scene to take over the investigation. Detectives later discovered that Chlebus had picked up the girl, engaged in sexual acts with her, and brought her to the Imperial Oaks Subdivision.
Charges of Trafficking a Person – Engaging in Sexual Conduct were filed against Chlebus, who was arrested at the scene and taken to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail for booking. The juvenile was safely recovered, and her guardian was notified. She was then taken to a local hospital for medical care.
Constable Gable and the dedicated team at the Montgomery County Pct. 3 Constable’s Office remain steadfast in their mission to protect the children in our community.
