Naming Process Underway for New Conroe ISD Schools, District Facilities

CONROE, TX -- The Conroe ISD Board of Trustees is seeking public input on the naming of schools and facilities. Suggestions may be submitted until Friday, May 9, at 4:30 PM.

The campuses under consideration for naming were all part of Bond 2023. The Board is also seeking name suggestions for the District's virtual school and its three agriculture facilities.

High schools must be named after a geographical area. Elementary, intermediate, and junior high schools can be named after a geographical area, prominent persons or public officials who have served the District or community with distinction, persons who have gained recognition in education or the arts, national or state heroes, or persons donating land or money for the facility.

9th Grade Campus
Grand Oaks Feeder

Opening in January of 2027
Located east of Grand Oaks HS
Part of 7-8, 9th grade facility

9th Grade Campus
Caney Creek Feeder

Opening in August of 2027
Located on 1485 just north of SH 242

Flex 27 Elementary
Grand Oaks Feeder

Opening in August of 2026
Located in Woodson’s Reserve east of Hines Elem.
Potentially may serve students in grades K-6; zoning process begins August of 2025

Conroe & Timber Mill Feeders
