Houston Mayor John Whitmire officially proclaimed the date of March 28, 2025, as “Children’s Safe Harbor Day” throughout the city of Houston. The proclamation was read aloud by Houston City Council Member Twila Carter at the non-profit’s capital campaign luncheon held March 28, 2025, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
