Scratch Advanced Robotics Course (Ages 9+)

Course Overview:
In this advanced course, kids with prior Scratch experience will dive into hardware integration with Arduino and sensors. They’ll tackle more complex projects, working with advanced circuits, multiple sensors, and challenging game mechanics. KIDS GET TO TAKE ALL THE ROBOTICS HARDWARE EQUIPMENT HOME at no extra charge. Every kid gets their personal kit—no sharing required.

EXAMPLE PROJECTS:
• Bubble Frenzy (GAME105): Design a game where bubbles grow, move, and avoid obstacles.
• Shoot the Monster (GAME106): Build a multi-level game with intricate mechanics.
• Space Shooter Game (GAME200): Program object movement, clones, lives, and scoring systems.
• Lander Game (GAME301): Use a gyroscope to control X and Y-axis tilt for precision.
• Using an IR Remote (PROJ110): Learn how to program IF conditions and manage inputs.
• Building the Crane (PROJ115): Explore joystick-controlled motors for X and Y movement.
• Buzz Lightbeam (PROJ117): Engage in laser aiming challenges.
• Pac-Man Game: Recreate the classic game with advanced mechanics.

CHILD OUTCOMES:

By the end of this course, children will:
• Integrate Scratch programming with Arduino hardware and sensors.
• Understand and build more advanced circuits, working with multiple sensors.
• Learn to program complex sensors like gyroscopes and IR modules.
• Develop advanced game mechanics, including multi-level designs, scoring systems, and clones.
• Explore joystick functionality and concepts of X & Y axes in motor control.
• Gain proficiency in problem-solving and creative thinking through challenging projects.
