Reggio Emilia /Montessori Instructor Job

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is searching for a reliable, trustworthy, and innovative Reggio Emilia /Montessori trained instructor to join our July summer workshop for Preschool age children. The instructor’s responsibilities include implementing themed lesson plans focused on developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, and communicating with parents as required. Applicant/candidate must be able to create a nurturing, stimulating classroom where every child feels included. Outstanding candidates are able to embrace creativity and independence, while treating each child as an individual and piquing curiosity through play.

Instructor Responsibilities:

• Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
• Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
• Establishing rapport with students based on trust.
• Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness
• Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
• Presenting themed lesson plans with enthusiasm and open to discovery along with the child. 

Instructor Skills/Qualifications

• Montessori or Reggio Emilia Certification or bachelor’s degree in early childhood teaching recommended.
• 2+ years at an accredited Reggio Emilia or Montessori Center.
  • Passionate about alternative education.
  • - First Aid certification preferred (but not required)

  • - Strong communication skills between staff, parents, and children

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time

Salary: $336.00 per week

Schedule:

• 4-hour shift
• Instruction Time 9am - Noon
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Spring, TX 77381: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person earner who can be a good role model for children.
