Are you passionate about guiding young minds in an authentic Montessori environment? The Grove Community School is seeking a dedicated AMS Certified Early Childhood (ages 3-6) Montessori Teacher to join our vibrant community.

As a verified AMS school, our mission is to provide an authentic Montessori education that respects each child's unique journey. Our picturesque campus offers ample opportunities for outdoor exploration, hands-on learning, and collaborative discovery. For the 2025-2026 school year we will be moving to our permanent home (2675 Pine Acres Rd. Conroe, 77384) and expanding our school by adding a second Early Childhood classroom.

Position Overview:

As an AMS Certified Montessori Teacher, you will be instrumental in creating a prepared environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. You will guide a mixed-age classroom (ages 3-6) facilitating individualized learning experiences that align with Montessori principles. While the position includes a great deal of autonomy, this position involves working under the direction of an experienced lead.

Hours will be from 7:30-4:00 Monday through Friday.

Salary is based on a 187 day work schedule beginning in August. In an ideal situation this position would begin in May followed by 8 weeks of summer camp to allow the new teacher to learn the culture and routines of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Implementation: Develop and implement Montessori lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of each child.

Prepared Environment: Maintain an organized, engaging, and safe classroom that reflects Montessori aesthetics and values.

Observation and Assessment: Regularly observe students to assess their progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Parent Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents, providing insights into their child's growth and fostering a strong home-school connection.

Professional Development: Engage in ongoing learning opportunities to stay current with Montessori best practices.

Qualifications:

Certification: MACTE Certification is required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is required.

Experience: Prior experience in a Montessori classroom setting is highly desirable.
