THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS -- The 2012 Junior League Holiday Market is now open for shoppers anxious to start their holiday gift-buying. The 10th annual market held November 16-18, is featuring 125 vendors with wonderful merchandise, beautifully displayed in the grand ballroom of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center.

The event was preceded with a well-attended VIP kick-off party and a preview of the market. The event is one-stop-shopping for everyone on the gift list. Among the offerings are art, clothing, fashion accessories, holiday decorations, jewelry, and even food items.

Deep in the heart of the Marriott is Truly Texas, from right here in Montgomery County. They can literally provide the twelve days of Christmas with their fourteen jelly flavors, ten different gift sets, eight gourmet salsas, six different seasonings, four Bloody Mary mixes, three barbecue sauces, two spicy mustards, and their award-winning, very own chili mix.

“We’re ‘truly’ honored that our chili mix, Chili Fixins Texas Style, was awarded the Dallas Gourmet Gold Award for Best Soup/Chili,” said B.J. Ordner, President of Truly Texas.

Corporate gifts are available, but the product line makes great gifts for those who made the mistake of leaving the state and who are missing the ‘taste of Texas.’

Many additional activities have been scheduled throughout the weekend. Santa will be making an appearance for photo-taking; photos with Santa are $10 each. Check the Junior League’s website for the hours that Santa will be on site. ‘Cookies with the Clauses’ will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 9-11am and 1-3pm.

Market hours are Friday and Saturday 9-6, and Sunday 10-4. For your convenience, both package and stroller check booths are available: stroller-friendly hours are Friday and Saturday after 2 pm, and all day Sunday.

The Junior League of North Harris and South Montgomery Counties is a 501(C)(3) organization of ‘women building better communities.’
