Paul Louden to discuss research, awareness with fellow experts for improving lives of those on Autism Spectrum

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — The Center for Disease Control now estimates that 1 in 68 people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In two upcoming episodes of “Theories of Mind” radio, host Paul Louden talks with three very special guests who are paving the way to a better future for those with autism.

“Theories of Mind” runs on Business Newsmakers Radio 1110 KTEK-AM, a Wall St. Journal Radio Network, Bloomberg Radio Station in Houston.

On April 21, Paul speaks with Norris Fergeson and Karen Mones from the soon-to-open Houston location of the nonPareil Institute, a non-profit school and software company that helps adults with autism lead more autonomous lives through its unique high-tech training programs and team-building emphasis. This ambitious organization is already making a difference at its home base on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Plano. Houston is its first new candidate city, with plans to expand across the nation.

Then, on April 28, Paul welcomes former Mrs. Texas Kym Jackson, who talks about raising a son with autism and how this inspired her to start her own jewelry company, Unique Urban Rocks. Jackson’s jewelry will be available at the Avante Laser & MediSpa “Champagne on the Rocks” event on April 30 in The Woodlands, which benefits autism awareness. Her collection of hand-strung, semi-precious gemstone jewelry is available at retailers in Houston and The Woodlands, with a portion of sales benefiting two major autism research organizations.
