Haggards Rustic Goods Joins Fall Home & Garden Show Lineup
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Fall Home & Garden Show The Woodlands marks its 14th annual event on Saturday, Aug. 13, and Sunday, Aug. 14, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands. The show hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
“This year’s show will certainly provide homeowners with the information, expert advice and products those attending previous shows have come to expect,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows Inc., producer of the show. “But we are really excited to introduce one of our newest exhibitors, Haggards Rustic Goods, a company that repurposes Texas barn wood into custom-built furniture and goods that can be used indoors or out.”
Founded on Texas pride and a desire to create traditional and unique pieces representing the Texas culture, Haggards Rustic Goods is a small slice of Lone Star tradition hidden away in Plantersville. With each piece of wood obtained from within the state, the design team at Haggards offers wholesale and custom orders with a quick turn-around, as well as an extensive showroom collection.
One of Haggards’ most popular items is its rustic coolers made out of barn wood, with each cooler unique in design. Lined with a Thermos brand ice chest, the coolers are available in several styles and sizes.
Austin Cunningham, store manager, said that along with Haggards’ unique coolers, he is extremely proud of the rustic bed frames and bedroom sets the team crafts out of barn wood.
“The bedroom sets are a best seller in our custom orders department,” Cunningham said, adding that 80 percent to 90 percent of Haggards’ sales are custom orders. “Just bring in a photo and our design team will do the work.”
In addition to barn wood, Haggards specializes in creating furniture crafted from whiskey barrels. Each barrel is authentic and can be repurposed into a coffee table, bar, chair, or anything else the customer can dream up, Cunningham said.
Other popular items at Haggards Rustic Goods are its barn wood picture frames. In all shapes and sizes, there are many to choose from and can also be hand crafted to fill any need or fit any space.
