St. Luke’s Health- The Woodlands Hospital Sponsors Light the Night
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On November 7, St. Luke’s Health- The Woodlands Hospital participated in the Montgomery County Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Light the Night event at Town Green Park, of which it was presenting sponsor. Light the Night is part of a national series of events to raise money for research and cures for blood cancers.
The mission of LLS aligns with the work of The Woodlands Hospital’s Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, which researches and treats cancer and seeks to reduce health disparities and improve survival from cancer, especially in underserved populations.
The Light the Night festivities also include a virtual component on November 11, chaired and hosted by St. Luke’s Health North Market President, Jim Parisi. As Corporate Walk Chair, Jim has led the effort to accelerate corporate support and drive awareness for Light The Night to support LLS. North Houston Market Director of Operations, Eric Ransom, is also serving as the chair of Light The Night Young Professional challenge this year.
“We can all play a part in advancing cancer research and treatment. It was an honor to represent St. Luke’s Health and partner with the Montgomery County Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to bring light to those suffering from blood cancer,” says Jim Parisi.
St. Luke’s Health- The Woodlands Hospital set a goal of raising $50,000 for LLS and is on track to reach it. Donations can be made online.
