Dr. James Lin Joins Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Bringing Expertise in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. James Lin, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in treating hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions, to their team. Dr. Lin brings his extensive experience and patient-centered care approach to The Woodlands, Spring, and Montgomery County, Texas communities. He is excited to serve the areas close to his family, offering specialized treatments designed to help patients achieve their individual health goals.
Dr. Lin earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and completed his medical school and orthopaedic surgery residency at The Ohio State University. Following this, he underwent further specialized training in hand and upper extremity surgery through a prestigious fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. His expertise ranges from treating arthritis, fractures, and nerve injuries to performing complex joint replacements and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lin has been at the forefront of medical advancements in his field, contributing to over 50 research papers, presenting at national and international conferences, and writing nine book chapters. His involvement with leading professional organizations, such as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, ensures he remains at the cutting edge of orthopaedic care.
Dr. Lin’s personal interests outside of medicine include spending time with his wife, who is currently expecting, and pursuing hobbies such as weightlifting, running, cooking, smoking meats, and playing golf.
