THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The South Montgomery County Fourth of July Committee has announced two local singers, Lauren Moore, and Liv Garcia, will perform the National Anthem at this year’s 4th of July Parade. The South Montgomery County 4th of July Parade will take place Thursday, July 4 at 9:00 am and the 2024 theme is “Saluting the Past. Celebrating the Future.”

In addition to singing, Lauren Moore is a member of the American Heritage Girls organization in local Troop 1722 and enjoys training for an upcoming bodybuilding competition. Her future plans include pursuing a real estate license.

Liv Garcia is a 13-year-old local resident who has been singing since she was two years old. No stranger to Market Street, she frequently performs as part of the Sarah Kelly Music School at Live on the Lawn and considers singing the National Anthem a great honor. In the past she has sung the National Anthem and God Bless America at a Houston Astros game.

The annual patriotic event is celebrating its 48th year in 2024 and will welcome thousands of spectators who line the streets of Town Center along a 1.3-mile parade route. Participants typically include local dignitaries, local marching bands, street performers, fire engines, horses, and floats.
