SPRING, TX -- CDC Houston, Inc., a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corporation and master developer of north Houston’s City Place, welcomed its newest City Place office tenant last week. The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce has relocated from the Champion Forest area to 1,438 square feet in City Place 1 (1700 City Plaza Drive), a boutique, multi-tenant building in the community’s mixed-use urban core.

An accredited 501c6 non-profit organization, Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce works with county, state and national government leadership to represent the interests and concerns of business owners and community members in Northwest Harris County, is marking the move and milestone 50th anniversary with an open house on August 15 from 4-6 pm in the City Place 1 lobby.

“We’re thrilled to be in our new home at City Place, a fast growing that puts us at the heart of our membership,” said Bobby Lieb, President & CEO of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber’s ongoing programming includes monthly networking breakfasts held January through October, monthly Keynote Series Luncheons, Off the Clock happy hour events, member ribbon cutting ceremonies, plus annual activations including the Nexus Northwest Business Expo, NXNW Economic Outlook conference and Founder’s Cup Golf Tournament. A key effort for the organization is the development of the Cypress Creek Management District that would reimagine the FM 1960 corridor.

According to CDC Houston Executive Vice President Warren Wilson, “With its prime location and highly amenitized, walkable environment, City Place 1 continues to be a draw for businesses seeking to attract and retain top talent. And its not only a place that tenants enjoy, but also one that customers and clients appreciate thanks to a trio of top-notch hotels with state-of-the-art meeting and event space, great variety in food and beverage options, a picturesque setting with wonderful green space and remarkable access to trails, plus an incredible variety of mostly complimentary programming spanning from concerts and fitness classes to interactive art exhibits and cultural celebrations.”

Five-story, LEED Silver City Place 1 features floor-to-ceiling windows, elevated terrace and garden areas, ample parking and a covered pedestrian connection between the office lobby and parking structure. Dining and shopping tenants at street level include Common Bond Bistro & Bakery, Sushi Rebel, Focus Optical and creative social club, Oiler Studio, which includes an outpost of J-Bar-M Barbecue.
