SPRING, TX -- Art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike are in for a treat as "Invisible Music," an installation by Austin-based artist and musician Steve Parker, is now open to the public at City Place Park. This large-scale, site-specific work, which is free of charge, offers a unique blend of art and nature through its use of repurposed brass instruments to create a symphonic meditation in a picturesque setting.

What to Expect:
"Invisible Music" features floating musical sculptures on the "cat eye" reservoir of the park's main pond, serving as sound resonators against a backdrop of ever-changing musical compositions. These compositions, which play every 15 minutes, include ambient music, reconfigured classical pieces, and recordings of natural elements. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the intersection of the natural and human-made worlds, listening closely to the symphony created by Parker's innovative use of sound.

Additionally, the installation includes a series of interactive land-based sculptures in the greenspace near the pond. Participants can activate these sculptures through various levers, each producing a unique sound, adding an interactive element to the experience.

About the Artist:
Steve Parker is renowned for his multi-layered social sculptures around the world. "Invisible Music" marks his first large-scale installation in Texas and his first piece placed on water, making it a groundbreaking addition to the state's public art scene.
