THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council is hosting a virtual question-and-answer session today, Thursday, September 19, at 5:30 p.m. for those interested in submitting for one of the two microgrant programs offered by the council.

The microgrant programs enable and support artistic projects within the Montgomery County community with more than $100,000 in impact since 2021. The Dr. David Gottlieb Education Microgrant seeks to support arts educators and arts organizations in funding projects that otherwise would not be possible. The Artist Microgrant is available for individual artists or art groups who may need funding of specific projects or supplies that will enable further growth, or education in the visual and literary arts.

For the second year, The Woodlands Arts Council Because Art Matters (BAM) Committee is excited to announce a partnership with The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. This community partnership brings additional funding earmarked specifically for performing arts projects and applicants.

The virtual session will be hosted by Claire Karl, Program Manager, with special guests from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Interested parties can log in to the event at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84808076869.

The deadline for applications is October 4, and applicants will be notified of funding decisions on December 9.
