THOA Hosts Their Fall Health Science Training in The Woodlands Area

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Texas Health Occupations Association (THOA) is excited to announce its upcoming Fall Health Science Training, taking place in The Woodlands area at the EVEN Hotel, Shenandoah. This two-day training event is specifically designed to empower new health science teachers with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

Scheduled for Monday, October 7th, starting at 8 AM, and concluding on Tuesday, October 8th, at 4 PM, this training offers a unique opportunity that goes beyond general new teacher training for Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructors. Attendees will engage with industry vendors to explore the latest technology and resources relevant to health science education.

THOA is proud to introduce two registration options for this fall training:

1. New Teacher Training
This comprehensive overview will cover essential topics such as health science fundamentals, understanding the TEKS, classroom management, health science terminology, teaching strategies, and learning styles. Participants will also receive an introduction to THOA and HOSA, along with insights into other student organizations. Additionally, attendees will gain exposure to classroom and administrative responsibilities, including lesson planning and creating interactive lesson plans using labs and technology.

2. Experienced Teachers: Sessions and Tours
