Enjoy a SPOOKtacular Evening at The Pavilion’s Annual Hocus Pocus Pops Event October 17

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Get ready for tricks, treats and symphonic suites at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s Hocus Pocus Pops Thursday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by Woodforest National Bank, the night will feature the Houston Symphony in a mesmerizing performance of horrifying horns, bewitching bassoons and chilling cellos. Tickets are not required for this completely free event and gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. show.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costume for a chance to walk on stage during the concert. The first 100 boys and girls to check in at Hocus Pocus Central in the North Plaza, fully costumed, get the chance to march in the Goblin Parade. Wristbands are required to participate in the Goblin Parade.

Pre-concert activities start at 6 p.m. and include making a spooky craft, photos with your favorite Halloween characters and Howard Hughes’ Puffy Pine Cone, pumpkin decorating courtesy of H-E-B, playing music at The Pavilion Partners Instrument Petting Zoo and fun sponsor activations. If you dare, hop onto the Great Pumpkin Express and carve out some great memories. Train rides begin at 5:30 p.m. in The Pavilion’s Gold Lot.

Guests are welcome to bring a picnic from home or their favorite restaurant to enjoy in their seat or on the hill. Keep in mind that beverages cannot be brought into The Pavilion and picnics must also comply with The Pavilion’s bag size restriction and/or be in original packaging.

Families are encouraged to enhance their performing arts experience with Mini Pavilion Maestros, a free and exciting program that makes the arts both fun and accessible for kids of all ages. By signing up for Mini Pavilion Maestros, children will receive: a special membership lanyard and badge, free reserved seating at all performing arts events, early entry for select shows, a free ticket to Children’s Festival and other great perks throughout the season. Families can register their children at any of The Pavilion’s performing arts events this season at a special booth located in the North Plaza or online at www.woodlandscenter.org/mini-maestros.

Stage Lighters is an exclusive arts membership that provides access to the best of what The Pavilion's arts programs have to offer, while also helping make the arts accessible to all.
