THE WOODLANDS, TX – On any given weekend, there are so many amazing events for all ages throughout The Woodlands area that it may be hard to cull through them all to find one that’s specifically family friendly. Not to worry; Woodlands Online is here to help with a list of some things you can do this weekend with the entire family.

Friday

Bring Your Own Board Game Night at The Adventure Begins
Have a board game you just can't find the group for? Need to find a new board game for your collection? Come on out to Bring Your Own Board Game Night and find a new playgroup.This is a highly community-driven event, so check in with their community on their Discord page in the "#board-games-general channel" for more information.

High School Football at Woodforest Bank Stadium
It’s Grand Oaks versus Conroe High School tonight in a battle of the titans! While Woodlands Online will be there to livestream the event, there are still seats available to purchase to catch the game live and in person, and in perfect outdoor conditions to boot!


Saturday

Texas Renaissance Festival
Step back in time to old Bavaria as the King and Queen kick off the Festival season with a celebration of the finest wurst (and bier) for their Oktoberfest-themed weekend. Show off your lederhosen in their daily costume contest or participate in their bratwurst eating contest.

Meet the Fleet at Northshore Park
This Township-sponsored event is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with a multitude of big trucks, various first responders’ vehicles and other large vehicles. This is a free, hands-on event fit for all ages, so everyone is encouraged to mark the calendar for a fun-filled morning.

Pumpkin Water Patch at Creekwood Pool
Visit the pumpkin patch at the pool and decorate your pumpkin with funny or spooky stickers, play games, get a trick-or-treat goodie bag, and have fun playing in the pool. The fee per child is $25 for residents; $30 for non-residents.

Pet Adoptions at Ale & Ivy
Get ready to raise the ‘woof’ as Ale & Ivy teams up with a local animal rescue, AAR – Abandoned Animal Rescue, to help you find your paw-fect match! Whether you’re looking for a furever friend or just want to sit and stay for a while, they’ve got it all! Come meet your new best friend; it’s bound to be a doggone good time for the entire family.

Fly Casting at Rob Fleming Park
Today from 1 - 4 p.m. at Rob Fleming Park’s Fountain Pond, this class will cover basic casting fundamentals and provide a ground work for understanding fly rods and reels, basic fly types, and other components of fly fishing. All equipment provided. You will need comfortable, season-appropriate clothing, sun glasses, sunscreen and be prepared to have fun. This event is for ages 14 and up, and pre-registration is required.

Hispanic Family Day at Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival
This special event-within-an-event at Heritage Park Area from 2 - 11 p.m. requires a separate ticket than just general admission to the festival, but it’s worth every penny!
