THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “Greatness is a road leading towards the unknown.” — Charles de Gaulle

This is the official Gold Anniversary Week of The Woodlands… happy 50th to all! True, there are lots of anniversary-related events happening this week, but there are some others that refuse to be shunted aside. Here’s a list of our top favorites that features some of both!

Tuesday, October 15
If you haven’t been to the Interfaith Hand Me Up Shop, you’ve been missing out on top retail items whose proceeds go to a worthy cause. Today, you can partake of a special volunteering initiative in honor of The Woodlands’ 50th. And even if you can’t volunteer yourself by sorting and tagging donations and working on the sales floor, pop by the store anyway and check our their inventory!

You and your family are invited to a free Houston Symphony show that will haunt your memory for decades to come for the annual Hocus Pocus Pops at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Expect trick or treating in the plazas, songs that are just the right amount of scary, and fun spread out over every inch of The Pavilion. This is undoubtedly the best way to kick off the Halloween season. Spooky symphony songs are only half the story. The other terrible tale to tell is of the thousands of little costumed ghouls and goblins that will descend upon the plazas and even parade across the stage.
