Kean Miller Adds Litigation Trio in The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Kean Miller’s growth in Texas continues as the 228-attorney, full-service law firm announces the addition of three attorneys in its office in The Woodlands. Megan Rapp joins as a partner, Dennis J. Sullivan joins as senior counsel, and Zach Mathis joins as an attorney. These additions help bolster the firm’s commercial litigation, business, maritime, construction, insurance, and labor and employment practices in the Greater Houston area.

Megan Rapp joins the firm as a partner focusing her practice on business litigation. She has managed state and federal litigation from the filing of the lawsuit through appeal. Megan handles a variety of litigation matters for businesses and individuals as both plaintiff and defendant. She routinely represents clients in litigation involving claims for fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference. Megan has also represented clients in negligence cases related to property damage and personal injury, employment disputes arising out of state and federal law, and cases involving construction defects and lien disputes.
Megan earned her J.D. and Certificate of Specialization in Law and Business from the Vanderbilt University Law School in 2010. She earned her M.S. in Information Systems and Advanced Certificate in Preservation Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007, her M.M. in Musicology from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005, and her B.A., magna cum laude, in Vocal Performance from The University of Alabama in 2003.
Dennis J. Sullivan joins the firm as senior counsel focusing his practice on commercial litigation and maritime matters. His experience spans a wide range of civil litigation matters, including commercial litigation, family matters, and personal injury. Dennis also handles cases involving maritime, labor and employment, insurance, and construction matters. He has litigated cases in all four federal districts of Texas, as well as federal and state courts in Texas, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Florida, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Illinois. Dennis has successfully represented clients before administrative offices, courts, and appeal boards, including numerous occasions before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit as well as state courts of appeal.
Dennis earned his J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1991. He earned his B.B.A. in Finance from St. Mary's University in 1988.
Zach Mathis joins the firm as an attorney focusing his practice on civil and business litigation. His experience includes breach of contract, negligence and gross negligence, fraudulent inducement, and breach of fiduciary duties. Zach also handles matters in a wide range of cases pertaining to such topics as landlord-tenant disputes, trespass to chattel, homeowners’ associations, DTPA actions, and foreclosure.
Zach earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2023 and his B.S. in International Economics and Minor in Chinese from Texas Tech University in 2020. During law school, he served as a law clerk for the Legal Aid of Northwest Texas. Zach also received the Top Grade Award in Commercial Law, International Business Transactions, and Statutory Interpretation.
