About Laura Dumas

Based in the firm’s office in The Woodlands, Texas, Laura resolves complex commercial and civil disputes across a variety of subject matters in both state and federal courts. She has successfully handled various trade secret, mass tort, shareholder derivative, real estate, business, and oil and gas claims – both on attack and defense, whether in large-scale, multi-district litigation actions in the courtroom, or in an alternative dispute resolution forum such as arbitration or mediation.

Laura earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2005. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Union College in Schenectady, NY. She is admitted to practice in both California and Texas. In the community, Laura has served as President of the Board of Directors for the Houston Wild Hockey Club and was a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Child Advocates of Montgomery County from 2014 until 2020.

About Laura Rahman

Based in the firm’s Houston office, Laura practices with the firm’s Occupational Exposure and Toxic Tort group. She is a critical member of key client teams that defend major toxic tort and product liability claims with demands that reach into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Laura has earned her reputation for excellence in effectively developing and continuously analyzing, streamlining, managing, and supporting the copious amounts of information and details inherent in these disputes. A considerate defense strategist and highly effective claim manager and litigator, Laura is the ultimate taskmaster who will ensure dispute resolution remains on track and moving toward the right result.

Laura earned her J.D. from the LSU Law Center in 1995. She earned her B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1992. Laura is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers, the State Bar Associations for Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. She is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America for 2025.
