Bear Branch Grass Fire Quickly Extinguished

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On January 25, 2025, the Woodlands Fire Department responded promptly to a grass fire in the Bear Branch Reservoir area. The fire, which was slow-moving, was quickly extinguished without causing any damage to property.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office took the initial report of the incident and collaborated with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the matter.

Through their investigation, authorities identified the juveniles responsible for the incident. Meetings were held with the parents of all parties involved to address the situation. Additionally, the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office conducted a scene examination and concluded that the fire was accidental in nature.

With no property damage reported, the juveniles involved have been issued Criminal Trespass Warnings. The investigation has been closed, and no criminal charges will be filed.
