Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas announces appointment of three new board members

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX (Habitat MCTX) is excited to announce the recent appointments of William Dean, Bryant Lach and Taylor White to the Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX Board of Directors. These distinguished individuals bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the mission of Habitat MCTX, which works to build homes, communities and hope.

"We are thrilled to welcome William, Bryant and Taylor to the board," said Charles Merdian, Chief Financial Officer of LGI Homes and President of the Habitat MCTX Board of Directors. "They each bring a unique set of skills and leadership that will be invaluable as we continue to build safe and affordable homes for families in need. Their commitment to our mission will undoubtedly help us grow and expand our impact."

William Dean, Real Estate Project Manager at Amoco Corporation, brings more than three decades of experience in real estate and project management to the board. William has a proven track record of success, having managed large-scale projects, including residential subdivisions and corporate headquarters. His passion for community involvement led him to volunteer in numerous capacities, including as President of the Village Council and Chair of the Emergency Management program in his previous community. William’s expertise will be a tremendous asset to Habitat MCTX as the organization continues to expand its housing initiatives.

Bryant Lach, Senior Vice President at global commercial real estate firm, JLL, is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the real estate industry. A 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he competed on the golf team, Bryant grew up in The Woodlands, TX, where he currently resides with his wife and twin boys. He serves as a board member for the Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA) and is an active member of The Woodlands Methodist Church. Bryant previously served on Habitat MCTX's Building Hope Gala committee.

Taylor White, Petroleum Engineer for Ovintiv USA in The Woodlands, TX, previously volunteered with Habitat for Humanity through her college organizations and Ovintiv/Newfield exploration. Her dedication to service extended to working with the visually impaired through her sorority’s philanthropy program, where she helped children with projects fostering independence. After moving to Houston, she continued this work with Team Catapult as a running guide for visually impaired athletes. Taylor is also committed to mentoring young engineers and promoting women in STEM. Taylor graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.

"We are fortunate to have such accomplished and dedicated individuals join the Habitat MCTX Board of Directors," said Vicki Johnson, Executive Director of Habitat MCTX. "Their wealth of experience, combined with their passion for making a difference, will help us better serve our community and move us closer to achieving our goal of providing safe and affordable housing solutions for our neighbors."

Habitat MCTX thanks Andrew Wurdack, Senior Counsel, Corporate Governance at bp, for his outstanding service and leadership on the Habitat MCTX Board of Directors as he rolled off at the end of 2024.
