“I have 11 years experience in pool construction,” Kyle told Woodlands Online. “Angela, who manages our office, has been managing/owning businesses for 20 years.” While Kyle spent most of his career in the Katy area, Angela has lived in Magnolia most of her life.

“I decided to leave my previous pool partnership for a few reasons. It was in Katy, and we wanted to work in The Woodlands area community and surrounding communities we live in,” said Kyle.

With Thompson Custom Pools, Kyle brings his considerable experience in pool construction to the area. The company also does pool remodeling, outdoor kitchens, decorative concrete, pavers, driveways, patios, pergolas, and Generac whole-home generator installations.

Kyle stresses the importance of leaving enough time to allow envisioned projects to be fully completed for maximum enjoyment. “I always tell clients there is no time like the present. Each time of year can present its own set of challenges, whether that be a busy season for outdoor construction, extreme weather, and the like. If you want to have your pool ready by the time kids get out of school for summer, you want to reach out by April, but the longer you wait, the busier our industry gets. The early bird definitely gets the worm.”

The business is already in talks to sponsor local high school athletics and other ways to give back to the community.

“I also enjoy the challenge of running the company, and felt it was the right time to do that with my wife and not with partners. Angela and I focus on being a family-operated business looking to help families in our community create memories,” said Kyle
