Dr. Ann K. Snyder Named Grand Marshal for 4th of July Parade

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The South Montgomery County Fourth of July Committee proudly announces Dr. Ann K. Snyder as the Grand Marshal of the 49th Annual 4th of July Parade presented by Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
Throughout her tenure in The Woodlands, Dr. Snyder has touched numerous individuals – both young and old – and multiple nonprofits, always striving to make a difference and believing in the importance of collaboration. Snyder currently serves on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors as Immediate Past Chairman and was elected to the Township Board in 2015. She has made significant contributions to public safety, community relations, and economic development. A resident of The Woodlands for over 35 years, she has dedicated her career to enhancing the quality of community life through her professional roles and volunteer work.
Dr. Snyder’s service has included her roles as Executive Director of Generosity at The Woodlands Methodist Church, Head of The Woodlands Methodist School and as President & CEO of both Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic. Her leadership significantly strengthened these organizations and positively impacted countless lives.
Currently, Dr. Snyder holds several key positions, including Chairwoman of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital Board of Trustees, CISD Foundation Board, Interfaith and Montgomery County Food Bank Advisory Boards, and past President of the Conroe ISD Board. Her extensive involvement in community organizations and boards underscores her unwavering commitment to public service.
Dr. Snyder has been the recipient of many honors for her years of service and dedication, including a 2000 Hometown Hero, Montgomery County Woman of Distinction, South Montgomery County People of the Year (twice), 2007 Citizen of the Year, 2007 Grand Island Education Foundation Hall of Honor, Rotary International Service Above Self Award, The Woodlands Paul Harris Award (three times), the Rotary District 5910 Hall of Fame, 2007 Junior League Sustainer of the Year, 2007 South Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, 2009 Drum Major Award, 2012 National Society of the DAR Woman in American History Award, 2012 The Woodlands Rotary Vocational Service Award, 2012 Junior League Visionary Award, 2015 Masonic Lodge Community Builder Award, 2015 & 2016 Honorary Chair for The Woodlands Waterway Art Festival Art Dash, 2015 Grand Marshal for The Woodlands 4th of July Parade, 2016 Honorary Flag Raiser for Montgomery County Friends of the Flag Foundation, 2016 Leadership Montgomery County Honorary Alumnus Award, 2017 and 2018 Kiwanis Special Olympics Honorary Chair, 2018 The Woodlands Celebration of Excellence Honorary Chair, 2018 Trailblazer Award Recipient, Co-Chair 2023 GHWCC Summit, 2023 Bayou Land Conservatory Honorary Chair and 2025 Junior League Recipient Award of 40 0ver 40. In 2013, Conroe ISD named an elementary school in her honor, the Ann K. Snyder Elementary School.
Dr. Snyder and her husband, Jerry, have two amazing adult children, a wonderful son and daughter-in-law and six very special grandchildren.
