Houston Methodist Opens State-of-the-Art Comprehensive Care Center in Creekside

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Houston Methodist has officially opened its newest facility, Houston Methodist Comprehensive Care Center in Creekside, a 32,000-square-foot medical center designed to transform the patient experience through cutting-edge technology and compassionate care. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, April 11, bringing together hospital leadership, community leaders, and members of the media to celebrate this milestone in local health care delivery.
Technology-forward facility brings exceptional, convenient care to The Woodlands area
Located in the heart of Creekside at 26424 Strake Drive, the new center offers a wide spectrum of services, from primary care for the entire family to specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, orthopedics and sports medicine, and physical therapy. The facility also includes an on-site lab, X-ray, cardiac stress testing, and rehabilitation services, ensuring patients have seamless access to the care they need, all under one roof.
“Houston Methodist is always excited to grow with our community, and we’re proud to now be part of Creekside,” said David Bernard, Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. “Our new Comprehensive Care Center integrates the latest technology to enhance every step of the patient experience and reflects our unwavering commitment to providing the very best care and service to our patients. We’re honored to be named one of Fortune’s Most Innovative Companies, and our newest healthcare setting is a shining example of how we continue to push the boundaries of what exceptional health care looks like.”
The new center incorporates smart technologies that support a more streamlined and connected patient experience. From online pre-visit registration to self-check-in kiosks and real-time wait time notifications, each step of the care journey is designed to promote ease, transparency, and efficiency.
Inside the exam room, providers are supported by ambient listening technology, a transcription tool that processes conversations between the patient and provider into notes so the care team can fully focus on the individual in front of them.
“We have piloted ambient listening in many of our practices, and it has been a game changer for our patients and providers,” said Stephen Spielman, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with Houston Methodist Physician Organization. “The technology and innovation we are providing in Creekside are redefining what a visit to the doctor looks and feels like—It’s streamlined and supportive—and allows for a deeper human connection between the patient and provider.”
Following remarks from hospital leadership and clinical directors, guests were guided on tours of the new facility, featuring interactive demonstrations that highlighted the innovative technologies now available to patients.
