THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Some of the smallest patients at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital are also the toughest. This month, we are celebrating what makes so many of them special – American Heart Month!
Nearly 1 in every 100 babies is born with a congenital heart defect. Young patients at the Children’s Heart Institute at Children’s Memorial Hermann held an adorable photoshoot to raise awareness for heart health. Many of these patients are receiving treatment for congenital heart defects or complex cardiac conditions.
Of course, every Heart Hero needs a sidekick! Facility Dogs Dexter, Declan, and Pilot are proud to support these Heart Warriors during their medical journey.
