[Solidcore] Strength Training Coming Soon to Hughes Landing

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Coming soon to the ground level retail at Two Lakes Edge in Hughes Landing is [solidcore], a 50-minute, full-body, strength-training workout that uses slow, controlled movements to break down slow-twitch muscle fibers, allowing them to build back stronger. This high-intensity core workout is low-impact and won’t cause excessive strain on your joints or connective tissues. Solidcore classes are designed with a rotating monthly muscle focus to maximize the workout and deliver balanced bodies.

Unlike traditional Pilates, Solidcore is built around targeted strength training, designed for individuals who seek measurable progress. With a focus on intensity, efficiency, and results, Solidcore’s mission is to challenge every client to seek their strongest self through the world’s most transformative workout.

Founded in 2013 by Anne Mahlum, a marathoner and triathlete, she sought a workout that combined strength training with the challenge she craved.

Solidcore classes take place on a custom machine with a platform, moving carriage, weighted springs for resistance, cables with handles, and handlebars. Each 50-minute class focuses on slow, controlled movements that engage your core while targeting different muscle groups, all while keeping strain off your joints. Classes are led by expert coaches who provide personalized guidance, ensuring that class will challenge and empower you to build back stronger, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro.

With 135 studios across the country with more coming soon, The Woodlands location at Hughes Landing will be the fifth location in Greater Houston. Currently, Solidcore has four studios in Houston proper, and when the Solidcore community was vocal about wanting a studio further out into the suburbs, the health and wellness focus of The Woodlands made it an easy decision. “We knew The Woodlands' reputation as a diverse and active community would allow us to build a thriving location,” stated Joshua Rainey, Director of Real Estate, [solidcore]. “Hughes Landing has a great mix of dining, retail, and daily needs elements, allowing our clients to come multiple times a week for more than just Solidcore.”
