ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Montgomery County Law Enforcement Association (MCLEA) has endorsed Mike Seiler for re-election of Judge of the 435th District Court. The association is comprised of members of the various law enforcement agencies in the Montgomery County jurisdiction.

MCLEA’s mission is to unify the law enforcement employees of Montgomery County into a cohesive entity and utilize the skill, ability, and determination of the membership to benefit the community and citizens it serves.

“I am honored to be endorsed by this august organization,” said Seiler. “Too often in a political race, candidates strive for quantity over quality with their endorsements, even going so far as to actually pay money for them. To have been selected by MCLEA as their choice for the best candidate shows how much they respect the work I’ve done in this position to date.”

Judge Seiler worked as a prosecutor in the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office from 1994 until June 2008, eventually becoming District Court Chief. He was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to the 435th District Court bench in 2008. The 435th District Court carries a full load of criminal cases, and hears the biennial review of approximately 350 violent sexual predators to determine if they need to continue to be held in civil commitment.
