It’s Independence Week and the only thing hotter than the sizzling weather is the slate of amazing events lined up all around The Woodlands. Here’s a list of our top five.

Tuesday, July 2
Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar is presenting a special Ladies Jukebox Bingo Night and Summer Luau, starting at 6:30 p.m. Join the fun with bingo to win prizes, singing, dancing, drinks, and the best night out with the girls. $15 ticket includes 7 rounds of musical bingo and a free drink.

The Star-Spangled Salute with the Houston Symphony is back for another year at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, with a new face at the helm: Jason Seber. He’s conducted some of the biggest names in classical music, and a diverse range of acclaimed pop artists, too. Expect energy, exuberance and excitement in every patriotically packed moment. This annual tradition that is ever growing stronger returns to unite communities, delight families and honor our greatest public servants once more. Don’t forget to come early; there will be tons of fun in the plazas and plenty of red, white and blue gear to go around. Admission is free! Gates open 6 p.m.

A new, complimentary summer concert experience, Hot Nights, Cool Grooves, takes center stage at City Place tonight from 6 - 9:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy a picturesque setting overlooking waterfront City Place Park and a lively showcase of popular regional musical artists Austin-based soul band Tomar & The FCs and Gulf Coast Fusion act Bayou City Funk. The vibrant evening will also feature an assortment of pop-ups throughout the series including food trucks with items for purchase, fruit samples from The Peach Truck, beer giveaways from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, free candy from Sour Strips, and photo opportunities, plus event swag giveaways and other surprise activations. The shows are open seating, and blankets and low-profile lawn chairs are welcome.

Jesse Peyton & His Comedian Friends Live Comedy Show hit Two Tones Dueling Piano Bar tonight starting at 7 p.m. General Admission seats are $20 per person. Houston Native, and charismatic comedian, Jesse Peyton has performed over 1,000 live shows and headlined at top clubs all over the country. Billy D Washington is an award winning comedian who has been featured at the prestigious ‘Just for Laughs’ Comedy Festival twice, HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and for three years traveled with The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin as her opening act.
