Ironically, Hurricane Beryl caused less damage than the aftermath of it. Some of us are still without power, but hope springs eternal that everyone’s home AC units will be purring peacefully any moment now. Experience Hughes Landing on scenic Lake Woodlands with live music tonight and for the next few Thursday evenings for Rock the Row. This free concert series features local and regional bands playing a variety of favorites from pop and rock to country. Tonight, enjoy the variety tunes of Brenda Guy The One Woman Show. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted. Glass is prohibited. All entertainment is weather-dependent and subject to change.

It’s the 21st Annual The Woodlands YMCA Kids Triathlon, taking place today from 7:30 - 10 a.m. at The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing, 8100 Ashlane Way. The Kids Triathlon is for ages 6 - 13. By special request, the race will allow an older 5-year-old to register, if they can meet the requirements for all the participants, which include them being able to swim several laps of the pool unassisted and riding a bike with pedals.
