**UPDATE** MCTXSheriff Investigates Road Rage Incident on Sawdust Rd

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Division are investigating a road rage incident that occurred on Sawdust Road yesterday. The incident involved a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a blue Chrysler Town and Country van. During the incident, the driver of the van pointed a firearm at the driver of the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck then fired multiple rounds at the driver of the van, grazing his ear and striking the window of a nearby business. The driver of the van fled on foot but returned when law enforcement arrived.

Both individuals involved cooperated during the investigation, and neither person wished to pursue charges. However, conflicting statements regarding the sequence of events and self-defense claims necessitate further investigation. The investigation remains ongoing. Upon completion, the case will be presented to a grand jury for consideration. The names of the individuals involved are being withheld pending the outcome of the investigation.
