THE WOODLANDS, TX – The John Cooper School has announced its final special event as part of its admissions season. This local independent, non-sectarian, co-educational, college preparatory day school based in the heart of The Woodlands is hosting its Fine Arts Preview Admission Event this upcoming Thursday, November 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Art Barn.

This is the latest and last official admissions event of this school year, which started in early October with the Athletics Preview, followed by a series of open houses later that month. These series of admissions events allow interested parents and their children to come check out what the school has to offer.

Registered students and their families will have the opportunity to meet with admission team members, talk to current students and fine arts faculty, and watch the Upper School musical, Anything Goes.

The application process for the 2025 - 2026 school year started September 2 and runs through January 17, 2025 for all grades.

Currently there are 508 students in Lower School, 324 students in Middle School, and 533 students in Upper School, for a total enrollment of 1,365. The average class sizes tend to be about 18 - 20 in all grades, with the exception of prekindergarten, which is 16. Lower School classrooms have full-time teaching assistants in PK - 1st grades and part-time teaching assistants in 2-5th grades. The average student-teacher ratio is 11:1.

“Along with the Admission Office and the entire faculty and staff, I will be happy to answer any questions you may have in order for you to make the best educational choice for your child and family,” said Sean Griffin, Director of Enrollment Management.
