Huntsman Corporation Donates $50,000 to Interfaith Community Clinic in Cut and Shoot, TX
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Interfaith Community Clinic has received a $50,000 donation from Huntsman Corporation to ensure it can continue to operate its satellite clinic in Cut and Shoot, TX. The satellite location, is in partnership with Compassion United and is located in the Compassion Community Care Center (C4). Currently, ICC holds the Clinic one day a week in their East Montgomery County location. This funding will allow ICC to expand their hours and will be able to purchase critical supplies and equipment needed to support a more permanent medical home for those in the Cut and Shoot community.
The Interfaith Community Clinic has been a long-time beneficiary of the generosity of Huntsman Corporation – the largest employer in the East Montgomery County area.
When asked why he was so passionate about supporting the satellite Clinic in Cut and Shoot, Peter Huntsman, President and CEO of Huntsman Corporation stated, “Huntsman Corporation and the Huntsman family have been investing in the Conroe area for over 30 years. We are proud of our Conroe associates and that we are able to support not just employment opportunities, but able to assure healthcare for all in need.”
“Our Clinic in Cut and Shoot, allows us to meet our clients where they are. Transportation is quite often the barrier that keeps a patient from coming in for chronic illness treatments, preventative screenings, and general medical care. Our goal is for every neighbor to have access to quality medical care. This Clinic makes that possible to the residents of the Cut and Shoot community,” says Missy Herndon, President and CEO of the Interfaith Community Clinic.
