Heavy Police Presence 900 block of Westwood North Dr in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX -- On March 7, 2025, at approximately 10:09 a.m., Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Family Violence call in progress where an individual assaulted his elderly parents at a residence in the 900 block of Westwood North Drive in Magnolia.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victims outside the residence while the suspect retreated inside and barricaded himself. Given the severity of the offense and the potential danger posed by the situation, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office activated its Crisis Negotiation Team and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) personnel. Additionally, Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit (formerly Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit) were dispatched to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Through the coordinated efforts of law enforcement personnel, the suspect identified as 43-year-old Charles Sinclair, was taken into custody without further incident and is being charged with Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury-family violence, and Injury to the Elderly.

The victims of the assault were identified as a 73-year-old female and a 74-year-old male. The female victim sustained injuries requiring medical treatment and was transported to a local hospital. The male victim was evaluated on scene and released.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting victims of family violence and ensuring offenders are held accountable. We will continue to utilize all available resources to investigate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who commit such crimes.
