New Danville Celebrates 20 Years of Empowering Lives
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- New Danville, a pioneering community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, proudly marks its 20th anniversary in 2025. Founded by Kathy Sanders in 2005, New Danville has spent two decades creating a nurturing environment where individuals can live, learn, work, and grow with dignity and purpose.
To commemorate this milestone, New Danville will host its annual Spring Thing Luncheon on April 25, 2025, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. This special event will celebrate 20 years of progress, resilience, and community impact while raising vital funds to support programs that empower New Danville’s residents and day program participants.
“This is a momentous occasion for New Danville,” said Mike Painter, President/CEO of New Danville. “For 20 years, we have been dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with special needs by providing opportunities for independence and personal fulfillment. We look forward to celebrating with our supporters, sharing our success stories, and looking ahead to an even brighter future.”
The Spring Thing Luncheon will feature inspiring speaker Ryan Campbell, heartwarming stories, and a look back at New Danville’s journey since its founding. Attendees will also have the opportunity to contribute to the organization’s mission, ensuring continued growth and success for the next 20 years.
In anticipation of the luncheon, New Danville invites the community to join the Spring Thing Kick-Off Party on March 26th from 5-7 PM at Grogan’s Park Center. This festive evening will include food, drinks, and a Punch Card Tour & Shopping Experience, where a portion of sales from participating businesses will benefit New Danville. It’s a great way to support the cause while enjoying a night out!
