Local schools open Sci://Tech Exposition successfully
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The 2014 Sci://Tech Exposition Day took place Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Lone Star Convention and Expo Center. Sci://Tech is organized by the Education for Tomorrow Alliance (EfTA), and is one of the largest science and technology fairs in the nation. Conroe ISD elementary schools hosted interactive booths where students were able to share their enthusiasm for discovery.
Those present also had the opportunity to watch student teams share their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math. The exposition day was preceded by a Biotechnology Competition, Junior High Engineering Design Competition, Technical Writing Competition, Junior High Science Fair, and a Senior High Science Fair. The last event, Senior High Engineering Design Competition, will take place on February 8, 2014.
Senior High Science Fair first place winners were recognized at an awards ceremony hosted during the Exposition Day. U.S. Representative Kevin Brady and Montgomery County Commissioner Craig Doyle helped Conroe ISD Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton hand out medals to the winners.
