The John Cooper School Students Spread Holiday Joy Through Service

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- This holiday season, students of The John Cooper School’s Interact and Tri-M Music Society took to the stage at The Village at The Woodlands Waterway to share their talents and spread some much-needed holiday cheer to senior citizens. With an array of festive music, sweet treats, and a joyful spirit, the students truly embodied Cooper’s mission of fostering critical thinkers, effective communicators, and responsible citizens.

Performing a selection of holiday classics, the students demonstrated the hard work and dedication they’ve put into their music throughout the year. Their performance wasn’t just about showcasing their musical talents; it was a reminder of how education extends beyond the classroom. Cooper believes that students should be challenged not only academically but also in ways that allow them to connect with and serve their community. This event gave them the chance to do just that.

"At Cooper, service and being a well-rounded student are integral parts of our educational philosophy. Watching our Tri-M and Interact Club students serve the Woodlands community is a true reflection of these values. Their dedication to both academic and community responsibilities not only strengthens our local impact but also helps them grow into compassionate, responsible leaders," said Mr. Braden Goveia, Upper School World Languages teacher.

As students shared their music with the local community, they also brought holiday treats to share, spreading cheer to everyone who gathered to listen. Their involvement was a perfect example of how Cooper encourages students to engage with the world around them and build meaningful connections, whether they’re performing for an audience or simply sharing a smile with a neighbor.
