The Woodlands® 50th Anniversary Celebration Receives International Recognition, Wins Communitas Award for Excellence in Community Service

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands® 50th Anniversary Celebration has earned global recognition, winning the Communitas Award for Excellence in Community Service, Company Service, and Community Partnership. The Communitas Awards are an international effort aimed at recognizing exceptional businesses, organizations, and individuals who are dedicated to serving their communities.

The Woodlands 50th Anniversary Celebration, a yearlong tribute, commemorated five decades of vision, innovation, and excellence, culminating in a week of community-wide festivities from Monday, October 14 through Saturday, October 19, 2024, marking the actual anniversary date of this award-winning, nationally acclaimed master planned community. In the true spirit of Communitas, The Woodlands 50th Anniversary honored George Mitchell's visionary foundation for the community, while highlighting its rich history, culture of giving, commitment to environmental stewardship, dedication to outdoor art, and community engagement. The celebration culminated in a free concert for the community and extravagant drone and fireworks show.
