The Woodlands Township Services Update

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning for The Woodlands area overnight, with temperatures expected to drop below 20 degrees. Freezing conditions will persist until mid-morning tomorrow, causing hazardous road conditions as streets refreeze.

All Township offices will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Additionally, The Woodlands Express bus service and the Town Center Trolleys will remain suspended on Wednesday as well. All facilities and services are expected to reopen and resume normal operations on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Waste Management will resume trash and recycling collection on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, with a delayed start. Collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day. Please refer to the schedule below for your collection day.

Tuesday customers will have their trash and recycling collected on Wednesday, January 22 with a delayed start.

  • Due to the delayed start on Wednesday, Tuesday waste collection may take longer than usual. Please keep containers curbside until collected, including overnight if necessary, as drivers will work to complete all routes.
  • Yard waste collection will not be provided for Tuesday customers.
  • Yard waste for Tuesday customers will be collected the following week, on Tuesday, January 28.

Wednesday customers will have their trash, recycling and yard waste collected on Thursday, January 23.

Thursday customers will have their trash, recycling and yard waste collected on Friday, January 24.

Friday customers will have their trash, recycling and yard waste collected on Saturday, January 25.

The Woodlands Recycling Center will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. It will reopen on Saturday during its regular operating hours.

Residents are encouraged to continue protecting their family, pets, plants and pipes. Roads that thawed during the day are likely to refreeze as temperatures drop below freezing, potentially resulting in hazardous conditions, including black ice. Travel is discouraged during these times.
