HS Boys Basketball: College Park Names Highlander Assistant Coach Kenneth Stephens as Program’s 2nd Head Coach

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The College Park Cavaliers have named, now former, Woodlands Highlander Assistant Coach Kenneth Stephens the 2nd head coach in the history of the boys basketball program.

The announcement comes two weeks to the day after program founder and former head coach Clifton McNeely announced his retirement from coaching. 

Stephens enters the shoes left by McNeely and his 20-year tenure, intending to maintain College Park’s grasp near the top of the 13-6A power structure. 

Luckily for the Cavaliers, Stephens takes over the program with a previous history of coaching success that also brings in developing his own program. Coral Glades High School witnessed Stephens’s ability to shape a program firsthand, and now he brings his years of experience and knowledge to  College Park.

Open-minded approaches by the College Park administration and a new strategy to culture building will lend well to Stephens as he takes the next step in his coaching career.
