Woodlands Christian 6th Annual Warrior Run Garners 310 enthusiastic runners/walkers
THE WOODLANDS, TX -- More than 310 runners and walkers joined in on a vibrant day of fun and community spirit at the 6th Annual Warrior Color Run, hosted by The Woodlands Christian Academy (TWCA). With a live DJ and free snacks/goodies, the Color Run welcomed families of all ages who participated in a fun 5k and 1k colorful race.
Co-chairs Erica Cummings and Brittany Manicom alongside TWCA’s Head of School Julie Ambler welcomed the crowd with opening remarks, a prayer, and the national anthem. As soon as the runners left the opening gate, spectators sprayed them with bright, colorful powders throughout the course, covering runners and walkers alike from head-to-toe in rainbow colors by the time they reached the finish line. The run started on the school’s 40-acre campus and weaved through W. G. Jones State Forest.
The goal of the Warrior Color Run each year is to provide an opportunity for The Woodlands community to come together and enjoy good, family fun and fellowship. All net proceeds from the Warrior Color Run benefit TWCA’s Athletics and Fine Arts programs.
